Beacon Consumer Insights' internal, professionally-managed research center and team of analysts are located in Tampa, Florida. Our survey capabilities are built on a strong foundation of market research techniques, including unbiased survey design, representative sampling, quality validations, and statistical analysis. We continually refine both our process and our analysis.

Beacon actively covers over 75 companies quarterly, with a focus on names of high interest to clients. Both value and growth stocks are included.

Bruce McVey

Since joining Beacon Consumer Insights in 2006, Bruce has advised clients regarding performance trends, strategic factors, and competitive positioning across consumer electronics/office supply, and restaurants. Bruce formerly was an executive team leader at Target stores, where his accomplishments over four years included sizeable improvements in operational scores in customer service, loss prevention, and turnover. Raised and residing in Tampa, Bruce holds a BA in Sociology from Kalamazoo College and an MBA from the University of South Florida.

 

Brent Wright

Prior to joining Beacon Consumer Insights in 2013, Brent founded and was the Principal of Consumer Reality Inc (CRI) for roughly a decade, an independent Equity Research firm.  Before launching CRI in August 2004, Brent was as a Senior Equity Research Analyst leading the Consumer team for Variant Research Corporation managing a team of 6 associates.  Prior to joining Variant, Brent instituted Retail equity analysis at Avalon Research Group leading a team of 3 associates.  Brent began his career at Midwest Research in 1998 as a Research Associate and became a Research Analyst of the Specialty Apparel Retail sector shortly after Midwest Research was purchased by First Tennessee in 2001.  He graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Finance in 1998.

 

Jeannine Dunn
Senior Analyst

Jeannine heads Beacon's coverage of softlines, including department stores, specialty apparel,
footwear, and accessories. She joined the group in late 2006 from apparel retailer Cato Corp.,
where for eight years she had been a senior planner responsible for strategic/competitive
research, forecasting, inventory allocations, and financial reporting. Raised in Tampa, Jeannine
was a business major at the University of South Florida and has an MBA from the University of
Tampa.

 

Elizabeth Nicholas

Elizabeth leads the majority of Beacon's hardlines and grocery coverage. She has extensive
leadership experience in store‐level retail. Elizabeth was a Store Manager at Target stores for
four years, including over two years at Super Target and for two years at a GM Target. She also
had three years of experience in key management positions in Logistics and Softlines. Raised in
Germany and the southern US, Elizabeth is an alumna of the University of South Florida.
